Researching the emotional and psychological well-being of young people

About Us

Welcome to the COMIC Research Team website!

You're probably wondering what COMIC stands for? COMIC stands for Child Oriented Mental health Intervention Centre (the "h" is silent"). At COMIC we are passionate about working with children and young people to empower and support their wellbeing. We place children, young people and their families at the centre of everything we do in order to develop interventions that are accessible, child-friendly and child-focused. COMIC is a collaboration between the NHS and University of York and we are led by Professor Barry Wright. We are fortunate to work with a variety of professionals, organisations and families to help bring this vision to life. Feel free to check out our research pages to find out more about the research we are currently working on.
